With a reputation for good value food and friendly service, this restaurant situated at the top of the La Tania bubble is easy for non-skiers to access and there’s a huge sun terrace seating up to 400 people. Lovely mugs of hot chocolate! There’s also a snack bar which is an even more affordable place to eat.

This is definitely one of our top favourite restaurants and bars in the 3 valleys!

With an impressive curved dining room overlooking Courchevel 1850, the Soucoupe is not a cheap dining option but gets consistently positive feedback for food and service. If you’re stopping for a drink, the deckchairs are a lovely place to linger and take in the views, or on a snowy day, snuggle up by the huge fireplace.

Perched at an altitude of 2,112 meters and accessed from the Courchevel Altiport blue piste this lovely restaurant serves a refined brasserie menu with regional specialities, quality products, fish, Asian fusion recipes…. The authentic décor brings together mountain and industrial styles.  Make the most of the panoramic views of the 3 Valleys ski resort and Mont Blanc from its terrace with outdoor fire.

On the side of the green Bellecote piste in 1850, this is a popular spot which is part of the Courchneige hotel. Expect burgers, sandwiches, paninis and soup for under 12 Euros. Cocktails and a beachy terrace make for a lively atmosphere, especially during Happy Hour 5-7pm.

Situated at the Courchevel 1850 altiport. This is a large chalet-style restaurant with a large wooden sun deck. When the weather is good you will often find a DJ playing in front of the restaurant and it becomes an apres-ski venue. Bar snack and fine dining available, rather on the pricey side!

Fine dining in an elegant and busy restaurant just above Courchevel 1850 on the Verdons piste. The dessert buffet is impressive, although reviewers suggest the service is on the slow side.

A lovely place to absorb some sunshine and one of Courchevel’s best value mountain restaurants. Quick and friendly service in a picturesque setting with great views, situated at the top of the Ariondaz bubble. What more could you want?

Copiña Courchevel is located just off the piste in Courchevel 1650. At a first glance, Copiña seems to rival its’ sister venue in Méribel, with its elegant marble bar. However, continue past the bar to discover our cosy restaurant. Here you can enjoy our wide range of Spanish cuisine with a cosmopolitan twist, complimented perfectly by carefully selected world wines, craft beers and bespoke cocktails.

Perched on the side of the mountain with stunning views of the Courchevel valley The food on the table is sophisticated, generous and authentic. All dishes are meant to be shared with family and friends,  signature dishes include- Roasted langoustines, fregola di sarda & Tuna tartare Bagatelle.

La Folie Douce is an apres-ski institution, with famous venues in Val Thorens and Val d’Isère. The newest in the Three Valleys is in Méribel and has continued its reputation in style! Dining options are either the self-service, good value bar or top quality dining in the restaurant La Fruitiere. Don’t just go for the great food though, what makes this place popular with revellers is the daily cabaret show, a flamboyant extravaganza of wild outfits, mad musicians and dancing on tables in skyscraper heels.

Situated just above Méribel, ‘The Ronnie’ is an après ski hot spot. Friendly staff serve up the interesting menu and are welcoming to children. Bands and DJs play every afternoon as jugs of beer and toffee vodkas are imbibed by the party people dancing their hearts out on the tables!

Located in the heart of the Altiport forest in Méribel, accessible by ski, foot or horse-drawn carriage, gourmet menu with grilled meats by the fireplace, regional dishes and homemade creations.

Whether you want a long lunch to savour with wine or a quick bite to eat before getting back out on the slopes, a hot coffee to warm up your spirits, La terrace is a great lunch stop with a heated covered terrace, menu includes calamari frits, Katsu burgers & salads.

A British-owned establishment, the Taiga sits just outside the village opposite the bus stop but is worth a visit. The upstairs restaurant offers some tasty food at decent prices and the service is good. The bar area downstairs is popular for the live music.

The Slodge, as it’s known, is the main bar and social hub of La Tania, where you will get pub grub at decent prices either inside or on the large terrace. All the live sports events are shown here on satellite TV and there’s regular live music.

Serving French gastronomic cuisine and awarded a Michelin Star in 2005, this is one of the more upmarket restaurants in the valley.  At lunchtime there’s a good value 3-course menu and in the evening a tasting menu allows you to sample lots of small, delicate dishes created by the innovative chef. It is well worth a visit to this famous establishment with specialties such as 12 types of foie gras, fillet of beef Rossini and tagliatelle with wild mushrooms. There’s an exceptional wine list too.

This restaurant has great food, excellent service and is good value for money. Situated in the hotel “Les Peupliers”, the interior is refined with stone walls and a large fireplace. The cuisine is typically Savoyard. On a sunny day the tables outside fill quickly. There’s a new restaurant just opposite and owned by the same people which specialises in rather tasty burgers.

Take a seat in this atmopsheric wine bar and choose a glass or a bottle from the interesting wine menu. The laid-back vibe makes this a popular spot for locals, and if you start feeling a little hungry then choose something to nibble from the tapas menu, the cheeses and charcuterie are sublime…

The roaring fire and scrubbed wooden tables make this an authentic mountain restaurant, but with a touch of class that makes it perfect for a romantic meal or cosy group dinner. Expect Savoyard fare including meat cooked on the open fire and delectable fondue.

A cosy, rustic restaurant situated in Courchevel 1550, great for lunch and dinner. Its specialty is beef, with meats cooked in the open fire in the restaurant which adds to the experience.

Great pizzas cooked in a wood fire as well as great range of pasta and steaks. It is good value with a lovely atmosphere.

Holding two Michelin stars, Le Chabichou is on the second floor of the famous hotel, with big windows showcasing a view of the slopes. The cuisine includes a number of superlative dishes, such as magret of duckling with honey sauce, lobster salad, red mullet with vinaigrette sauce and a velvety risotto with giant prawns. There’s also a bistro called the Chabotté which has a good value set lunch menu.

The cuisine is refined and original, with one of the best wine cellars in Courchevel. At the centre of the resort of 1850 facing the beautiful clock of Courchevel, this restaurant is open all year. At noon, have lunch on the terrace and in the evening in a warm savoyard chalet atmosphere where you will probably meet one of the numerous celebrities enjoying a ski trip to Courchevel.

As its name implies, La Fromagerie has the best fondue and raclette in town. Choose from cheese speciality menus ranging in price from €24 to €36.

Top chef Angela Hartnett’s Italian-inspired Courchevel restaurant. Local ingredients, meats grilled on the open range, indulgent gourmet desserts and stone-fired pizzas and good veggie options… Mains from €14 to €24.


Drop into Le Schuss for a beer or vin chaud after a day on the pistes. It’s a cosy place to prop up the bar and the restaurant in the back has cracking views over the valley.

Expect classic French fare served with a smile in this long-standing Moriond restaurant. Try a fondue with cepe mushrooms, the delicious duck or one of the wood-fired pizzas. They’ll happily accommodate larger groups and operate two sittings in the evenings.

A European fine dining menu in this upmarket restaurant on the right-hand side of the piste as you ski down. Lovely for a treat lunch or evening meal.


Pop in to this bar for a bacon and egg buttie or a seriously good coffee in the morning, or try the hearty soup and crusty bread or a falafel wrap at lunchtime. After skiing, pop in for a vin chaud and catch a live band.


Sit outside and watch the sun go down with a sharing platter, or play pinball or pool while you wait for your juicy burger… Live bands and DJ sets in the evening get very lively! This bar welcomes seasonnaires and holidaymakers who party until the early hours.

Restaurant and bars in the 3 valleys can be pricey and whilst mountain restaurants, whilst lovely, aren’t the cheapest way to keep your energy levels up whilst skiing. You may also prefer to just have a quick nibble as you’ll be returning to the chalet for afternoon tea followed by a 4-course dinner!

The most speedy, wallet-friendly way to dine on the hill is the classic mountain picnic. There are loads of lovely spots with benches in the Three Valleys, so in the morning grab a sandwich or pizza from the bakery or delicatessen in resort or up in Courchevel 1850 and you’re free to dine wherever or whenever suits you.

TIP: If it’s a bit chilly or snowy to be outside, there’s a ‘Salle Hors Sac’ (a picnic room) if you turn right at the top of Verdons lift in 1850 with chairs, tables and a tap for water, with another new one in Courchevel Moriond at the top of the Ariondaz gondola – it has a microwave and table football as well as free WiFi.
Over in Mottaret there’s a Salle PikNik with WiFi and comfy seating.

Other cheap lunch options include the supermarket or bakery inside the Forum in 1850 (you can dine in or take away and there’s a huge selection of sandwiches or paninis). It does get quite busy so try to get there before midday to avoid the queues! In Courchevel Moriond, there are two good boulangeries and a choice of supermarkets as well as the famous ‘Chez Le Gaulois’ which does a very hearty raclette sandwich!

Our favourite snack bars in the valley are at the Bouc Blanc (top of La Tania gondola) and Le Bel Air (Moriond, top of Ariondaz gondola) which offer cheap snacks on-the-go or in the small seating areas.
